Sunny.

Hi, well, I`m kinda on the hop today, got up rather late! Being a Sunday, like a lie in! So when I saw the clock at 7.30am! Ahh! Up and at `em! Took the dogs to Auchenrodden Forest, lost one, got her back! Chasing Roe deer. Never mind, horses are fine today, it seems that we`re experiencing a slight lifting of winter. Primroses are out on the south facing hedgerows, and the bloody woodpeckers are driving me crazy!
Last years foal."Sunny", she`s going to be a cracker! She`ll be a year old in April, and what can I say, she changes colour each month! She is now Grey, with a black and white rump, where as before the winter, she was brown and grey!

What next? But as an Apaloosa cross, she is entitled. So the piccie, shows her at the end of summer last year, I`ll get some more. She is out of an Irish Draught, by a Grade C Appy Stallion, Tyshion.

  1. The woodpeckers are driving me crazy too and so are the frogs croaking non stop day and night. but I'm glad to see the other signs of spring.

  2. The Endurance group, Scottish Endurance Riding Club, have quite a number of riders using Arabs, or Arab crosses. I Sold sunnys 2 year old sister last month, gone to a friend of mine. So I know where she has gone!

I intend to keep this little girl, she`s too gentle to sell, does that sound silly?

  3. Sounds to me like she has your heart. There's nothing wrong with that.

  4. Cheyenne - a question about Sunny's colouring. The paleness - is that natural? Will she always have that paleness or will her coat become one colour in time?

  5. Thanks for the explanation over at my place, Cheyenne. I was scared of showing my ignorance, but it looked to me like Sunny hadn't grown any hair anywhere, other than 'the bit' in the middle.

  6. Get your point, nice one! She has short hair, and she does look hairless! I must admit to that, but this winter, she has developed quite a lot of hair. Looks more like a horse!
