I`ve been told its going to snow today, well lets hope (HE)  fetches some food, we are starving! Only two hard feeds a day, and only a bale of hay to sustain us! I dont know, we could do with a few apples, maybe some carrots, and possibly my favourite,  few tangerines!! Yum! Yum!……..

  1. I think that style works for you! I know how you feel about the carrots. I have dropped my boy's feed down so he's not so OTT, but he's not happy about it. I may have to try the tangerine thing. Barnaby's favourite is banana, a new thing for me. Run up and down a lot to keep warm!

  4. Hi, it all started some years ago.....The grey mare of mine, she was injured, and I was kinda spending a lot of time with her. (She was my first started from scratch horse.) So we have a lot to talk about!!!Lol!

I was standing near her, eating a small Tangerine. Gracie leant over, and lipped the fruit! I let her eat some, from then on? She eats the skin and everything!!
So now, I offer all the young horses Tangerines! They all eat them, try it, but use the easy peel variety.

  5. That frosty look is pretty nice!

Pie is always trying to eat the Osage Oranges lying by the trail - and they're definitely not edible! I'll have to try giving him some citrus fruits and see what he does.

  7. How adorable he looks with frost in the mane and the ears... wonderful picture! I'll have to try tangerines. Mine like watermelon in the summer and the usual suspects like apples and oranges. Peaches are kinda popular too.

  8. Your horses eat tangerines too! I thought mine were the only crazy ones!!!! They also like cucumbers, pickles, bannanas, and pumpkin. Everybody but Sweet cheeks eats carrots, he usually gives me a look if disgust when I offer him a carrot.

I love pony with the frost in his hair, he is so adorable!!!! I'm kind of fond of him anyway!

  9. Yup, that's chilly. Still trying to work out whose hair gets crinkled in frost though, Cheyenne. The horse... or yours?
