“Hagar The Horrible!“ Thats what he was known as! But he was far from that. he was originally named after the fictional cartoon character, that appeared in a Daily Newspaper some years ago. Hagar was only 8 years old, when he passed away today. He had been suffering from a growth, in his oesophagus, the damage to this part of his little body could not be repaired.
It was a very, very sad end to one of natures Little Gentlemen. As can be seen from his pictures, of which we really dont have enough, he was a real stocky typical West Highland terrier, full of fun, always on the go, and never bothered a soul. He loved Rabbits, Rats and anything that could be caught! Although we have other dogs, he, will be very sadly missed. One of his most endearing habits was to talk to you! If you spoke to him, he would reply with a “MMUMPH!” If he had any faults? I could honestly say, they were so trivial as to be not worth a mention. We have lost animals before, but this has been a sad day. Not just for me, but for my lady wife, Elizabeth, for twas she, who bought him as a small pup. GoodBye “Son!"
Sad news. I didn't know this little guy, and I miss him already...
ReplyDeleteThanks Ron, he has appeared in a couple of posts, but he was a good guy!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so sorry to hear this. It is always hard when an animal that is close to us passes. I'm sure he will find lots of things to catch in Heaven.
ReplyDeleteAh hun! So sorry for your loss. Some dogs are really like part of the family and i have been through this once or twice myself. You sure cant replace him, but its nice to think about the good times you had.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Brandi!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry - he sounds like a true gentleman.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your little guy moved on.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to you and your wife at the loss of your little friend. He certainly was a good looking boy wasn't he?
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss, he looked like a fine little fella.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you lost your little friend. He sure was a cute little guy.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments. They are appreciated.
ReplyDeleteSo sad. Losing a doggy friend is one of the hardest things in life.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with the others, I'm sure he'll be sorely missed. We used to have a Cairn terrier, and I've always had a soft spot for Westies.
ReplyDeleteOh no, terribly sorry to hear that! Animals will break your heart :(
ReplyDeleteHowdy Cheyenne. I just came by to wish you a very Merry Christmas! I'd also like to say that you have my sympathy over your doggy passing on. I hope you're well.
