Matt`s Story. I enjoyed every bit of it. An honest portrayal of life, Susan seems to have a good handle on Western History. I found the book informative, and full of honest emotions. The descriptions of people, towns and life in general, made me a part of the whole story. I was compelled to finish the book at one sitting! Thats how good I thought it was.
I am not a book critic, nor have I ever offered an opinion of one, but this was a real pleasure to read and offer a comment on. Well done Susan, a damn good read, of a story well told. If you`ve got the time and the notion give this book a go!
Finally, I loved the Epilogue. It has a very poignant moment or two, especially when Matt is old, and coming to the end of his time. His realisation that his time will never come again, an era lost to the pages of history. I really loved the saddle piece, that was inspiration.
I would seriously recommend this book to those who love adventure and history
