Misty`s New Life.

SG1L1302[1]
This adorable Mare, is Misty. She is the sister to my very own Gracie, she of the “header” shot! I decided to sell her last Autumn. She was green, and in need of work. Standing at 17.2hh, she was on the tall side for me. So after some advertising, the lady in the shot, expressed an interest.
Misty, had done nothing except produce a foal, “Sunny”. This I still have. But I digress, Misty has taken to Eventing like a duck to water, and is doing quite well. I have posted a few shots for your perusal.

So there we are, doing well, and  with potential.
Misty has been a miss to me, but I cant complain, she has a new life, and I keep in touch.

  3. Beautiful. Back in the day, my wife used to train jumping horses. For which I constantly tease her, since I grew up riding bareback using only a halter most often as a bridle, wild Indian style!

  4. A lot of work to get them ready for shows. I enjoy watching them, there are quite a few around me here. A friends daughter has competed, but has a grudge on her latest horse for throwing her so much.

  5. What a beautiful jumper she is! And even better, she looks like she loves it. I think you found her a great home - She and her new owner make a pretty picture.

  6. I think I would have a hard time giving her up too, but from the looks of things, she's found a great partner. It is also very nice that you are able to keep in touch with her too. Great Photos!

  8. Thanks all! yes she was hard for me to sell, but she is doing well, and her progress is watched. Although a big horse, her temperament was of the very best! Soft gentle and compliant.
But you had to watch your toes!!!!

  9. wow what a horse .....must admit I once was into jumping anything!!!!.....and it didn't require liquid beverages. Now I'd rather leave it to someone else - or go under the jumps. Some are that big I reckon that is the easier option!!!!. Anyway it must be nice to see the horse progress and know you have had an input in the beginning!

  14. Just for the record, .....psssst! I dont do jumping or eventing anymore! No Sir!

To much like pain!...But admire those who do. I`m getting less bouncy, and when or if, i fall off, I tend to lie there for some time, while I get my s**t together and my bones!!!!Lol.
