Moving Forward!

After that last post, I have renewed impetus.  I was feeling a little lost, and Dorrance book has given me that renewed energy. As usual I try and work with the horses at least every other day, but this week its been every day!Lol!

Sunny, that little foal from 3 years ago?

001

Here she is!  Shorter in the body than Gracie, not as tall, around 15.2hh, and this photo does not do her justice, as strong as an ox! Just like her late Sire!

That purple? Antiseptic, she is always looking for greener pastures, usually over a barb wire fence!

sunny, back to work march 2011 014

This was her last year! (above)

Sunny at 6 months!

And again in 2009!

She has changed! But today was Dorrance day! I have been working her with what I have learned in mind,  although I thought she was quick, these last few days have been an eye opener for me, a real change in how the horses are responding, paying attention, and with a new attitude. Not that they were in any way poor, but it seems so much quieter, and smoother! Ah well onward and upward!

  1. Consistent work pays off, and Tom Dorrance is the Master, and inspiration for many of us. I'm sure Sunny will benefit!
