Update, On The Morning After!

Ok!…….Seems I was a bit premature re the injuries. last night, after visiting with friends, I got home and sat to watch some Tv. My OH was doing the same, then for some unknown reason, I felt a huge sneeze coming!        “AAAASHOOOOO!”……….(crack!)
This volcano of a sneeze, complete with the usual lurch forward and doubling up, was bad enough! But as i did this, I felt a very sharp pin in my left ribcage, and that sickening feeling as I heard the sharp crack of a rib breaking!  I was unable to move for a second or two, but whats more another sneeze was on its damn way!
God it hurt! I couldnt breath, move, fart or anything! Anyway, it was back to the Painkillers!  I wasnt  gonna bother Doc Holliday again, (he`d want to pull some teeth!)  So I lay in bed unable to move without pain, and then finally, I fell asleep. Only to be woken by the alarm, for work at 5am!   Putting socks on at that time of the day is bad enough, but trying to do it with painful ribs? AArgh!  Ah well!
Horses!

  2. Not much you can do for broken ribs unfortunately. Hope they heal up soon. Which means no more riding bucking horses!

  9. Nasty! Take plenty of painkillers so you can deep breathe and cough - chest infections often follow rib injuries if you don't. Nag. Nag. Hope you're soon feeling better.

  10. Ouch! I hope it's 'just' painful and nothing that won't heal up quickly.

  11. Denise is right. Breathing hurts so you take smaller breaths, which leads to pnuemonia (can't spell). It's why they don't tape ribs anymore. Broke 4 ribs last fall, rather life altering for nearly 6 weeks. I thought I'd die just reaching for the toilet paper LOL. Yeah, I can laugh about it now. Oops, hope you didn't just laugh!!! OUCH
Just use common sense so you don't complicate things. Heal well.
