Early Start!

Hands were frozen this morning! It was a bit frosty, by the time I`d caught up the horses, I was even colder! But non the less I was out, and in a few minutes away along the white frosty tracks around the farm.  I had decided to Pony Sunny, hence no pics, unless I can learn to use a camera with my teeth!! So it was a nice calm and to be honest, a very welcome ride out to nowhere in particular at the ungodly hour of 6am!  It was so damn quiet! Beautiful and serene, no-one else about, and with just the steamy breath of two keen horses, I did feel better than I have for some time.  I havent ponied Sunny very far before, maybe a mile or so,  but by the time we got back around 9am, we had covered  a tad more than that! Both horses seemed to enjoy the excursion. Judging by the snorting and blowing going on, I`d say they pretty much got a kick out of it!  Gracie, her usual stoic self, and Sunny the new kid on the block! No tantrums, no hanging back and no ………….no problems at all!   It was a good short ride, and the saddle felt good again too. How you miss the feel of leather!…………..Oh Oh! That didnt quite sound right!          See ya!

    1. Sure is, makes you feel more alive, and it feels like you have a "say", for some reason, almost as though you had a right!
