It Has Arrived!…………..Snow!

It wasnt when we set off, but it was when we came home, but in between, it was fabulous!

Now then!  The horse on the right, is “Patrick”, yes I know!!  Thats his new owner, my pal Sheena. Remember, the brown horse in the field with mine? Well thats him.

Gracie has not been out for a few months,so this was a short ride, get her back in the swing so to speak.  As you will all notice, Sheena is sporting the latest in Hi Vis stuff, recommended by the BHS. (Bright eh?)

kershope 2013 022  Its like Blackpool illuminations!  Still see and be seen! Used for road work, stops you getting killed.

So off we went, nice ride saw some deer, a few Buzzards and thats about it.

Personally, I think that Yellow jacket scared the be-jesus out of the Deer! (Scared me.) The deer were down in the right hand corner, three.

The snow started as we got back to the trailer, and then never stopped. Thicker at the farm, put Gracie back in the field with the others and went for a cup of Tea.

Feeding time again, Oats and Barley and some Veggy Oil. Keeps them warm.

Anyway, a good ride, back before the worst set in, and nice to back in the saddle.

  5. Hope the snow covers the mud for a while. Better for the feet and legs than standing in mud.
We've had a couple of days of sun and cold, now we have ice!

  6. I like snow and cold weather. Of course we don't have the humidity like you do. That could change things.

    1. The jacket is a copy of the POLICE jacket our police wear. So it is a play on words. It was lovely in the snow!

  10. The ranch where I board my horses has had just a couple of light dustings of snow. There wasn't any today and they were all out in the sunshine, allowing the warmth to soak in! It has been 18 degrees up there at night all last week...water troughs are completely frozen over and I had to get the ice out of 3 of them today! It looks like another cold night ahead...
