It started at around 5am today, we had had warnings, but we never really get that many snow storms, not like Canada or America. However this last week or so, the wind has been from the East, constantly cold and blustery. The Met office is constantly saying we will get snow, but we never do! However, they were right this time, most roads are closed, schools are closed, and although these pictures dont show it, I was leaning against a shed wall to keep upright!
Inside the feed store, the snow has blown under the eaves. Never had this before! Anyway, the weather is set to continue overnight, and the forecast is for more settled weather tomorrow.
The snow looks light, but the wind is drifting it, this is the windy side of the cottage. At the moment the snow has eased, but the wind is forecast to hit 70 mph. Lets wait and see.
No riding this weekend then!
