  4. Hi all! I finally got the logs split and stowed away by late afternoon. Trouble with hard work in the cold, is the sweating!! Urgh!

So anyway, there isnt much snow, but it will come, and when it does?
But its no where as heavy as the stuff you guys get in the states and Canada. Stay lucky!

  5. Hey Cheyenne, how it the back doing after chopping wood all afternoon? I spent five hours cleaning out the garage/workshop/storage area, this weekend. Too much snow to do any outside work—that is both good and bad but Christmas is looking like it will be very white here in the high country.

  6. Hi, Old Guy! I managed about 4 hours, before the back gave out! Not as nimble and young! Still what I lack in speed, I make up for in Stamina!!!! (Ladies take note!)

But the snow continues, and the daytime has not got above -3c! That for this time of year is pretty unusual!
But hopefully, Christmas could be white!!!

  7. The news is full of stories about the snow in Europe and England, and all the havoc on the roads and airports.

We heat with wood too, and need to get another load soon. It's the best heat!

  8. The weather here Shirley, is great! I love the snow! But I can see its down side. However, there is another log pile, its across the other side of the road from me. Its my extra store!

  9. That's what My Wonderful Man does for me too!!! Keeps me warm all winter long. We only heat with wood. It's the best feeling!

  10. I would love a fireplace. I have all kinds of wood. Odd for the prairie, eh? It's because of all the old fence we tear down. Old cedar fence posts galore and no toasty fire to burn them in. Still all that chopping I have a feeling might end up as skirt work around here. But then think of the muscles I would be getting. You must be tough, 4 hours of chopping, I'm impressed.
