I had an e-mail circulated from one of our horsey forums here in the UK. Its a warning re the sudden increase of Liver Fluke in Cattle and Sheep. Mainly due to the mild winter and incessant rain! Also a further note re encysted Red worms. Although Fluke is very rare in horses, where there might be an increase in Fluke, the advice is to dose all horses. Funnily enough we have our horses on a sheep farm!
So tomorrow, I`m off to the vets, for some wormer`s! There isn`t a licensed Fluke dosage for horses in this country, so I hope my vet will let me have a one for Cattle.
He is eating well, but he seems slow and not as energetic as he was, but we`ll see after tomorrow.
ps. Another pic loaded! (after about ten tries!)
