Horses Don`t Like Whisky!

Thats the washing up done!   The horse fed, and mucked out. Its raining, and the forecast is poor. However, there is a bright side to all this!
I have sourced a supply of logs for next winter, and its a good a regular supply. Albeit I get to cut down the trees and do all the work. And thats just fine for me. There is something satisfying about hard physical work, don`t you think?  Now the good news!  I have sent off my cheque to pay the deposit for next years trip to America!   Now its just the hard work of savin` the rest!!
Gracie is back off the Lame list, Sunny is looking good, and poor Charlie has still that ribby look, but!   He has passed no worms and is running the field like an idiot!
The tack room has been painted afresh,  a new rug adorns the tiled floor, and I have replenished the whisky cupboard!
So, whats a chap to do? The only thing a man can do, and thats to slake his thirst!  Ah yes!......Now where is that 20 year old "Dalmore" Single Malt?
ps.......Before I go,   a thought just crossed my mind, isnt it a good job horses dont like whisky!

"Gracie!  Put that bottle down!"

  2. Sounds like everything is on the right track for you. Does't someone sing " whiskey for my men and beer for my horses"?

I'm excited for you and I don't even get to go on a trip.I can't wait to hear the stories.Don't be suprised if that bottle goes missing.I know a guy that had a big Draft cross that used to drink Whiskey with him....that horse could hold his liquor....way better than his human counterpart.Hope you get some sun soon...we are still snowing here...non stop ugly.
