It Rained Again. (But we didnt care!)

Before I start, there will be some very dodgy videos in this post! Taken by me, and while trying no to get washed away!

I decided this year to ride the Cheviots in June, as opposed to July, mainly because the flies are bad in July, and the `ol Hoss gets a tad pissed off with them, not to mention me! So here goes!
Breakfast on Friday morning last, was at 7am, eggs bacon, sausage, tomato`s and a `tattie scone! Downed with huge cups of fresh sweet tea. Fantastic !………….Tacked up, and away by 9am, Sheena and I rode down the Bowmont Valley towards Cocklawfoot. Here`s the video! Lol (dont be too hard on me!)

What can I say?  Did my best!...........Moving onwards and upwards we managed to stay reasonably dry, that is until after this little video at the summit of the Border Ridge. One more thing, the commentary is really pants!
From here it was a couple of hours to Well House Farm, our stop over for the night and the next day, which depended on the weather forecast! Which as it looked for now was more of the same.  Still we did have some miles to go. What with the rain and soft ground, it was a case of watch each foot, as we progressed.
As you can see, with all the rain, grass is not in short supply here! From this point, we were heading down towards Alwinton, and some shelter.

Sunday, saw us heading back, the rain had stopped, well?  Ok, so it was drizzling! You`ve gotta hope! Finally we saw some sunshine!

You do get to go some fabby places. I think human needs to invest in a box like Frank has and then we can go more exciting places
