I was coerced! ……………….really coerced, in fact pressure was definitely brought to bare! ………….This is how! ………….
“You know he loves to ride his pony! He adores that animal, you cant let him down today!……….he`s at school, expecting to go and ride tonight!….He`ll be distraught!”
I replied to my OH, who incidentally has a Phd and a MA, in Psychological warfare!
“ But I`d planned to go riding today!”………………She replied, “whats more important, your happiness or your grandsons?” Now that is the real clincher, your left feeling a real heel, and although you know the answer is “your happiness!” You know you ain`t gonna win.
“Ok dear, I`ll cancel!”
And thats how it was…………so here he is.
He only started riding a couple of weeks ago, not bad. Trotting now, and although we dont have poles, just troughs, hey! Just as good!
Looks like it was a good trade!
ReplyDeleteI think so!
DeleteAw, that wasn't such a tough sacrifice now was it? Soon you'll be able to both go riding together.
ReplyDeleteNo Shirley, you`re right! If this keeps up, what with me, daughter, wife, grandson and "uncle tom cobbly an` all" it`ll be like the Von Trapp family outing!!
DeleteOh yes human knows that feeling. He is looking really great well done that young man.
ReplyDeleteThanks Zoe, he wont do canter, he says!!........But his pal Emily finally did canter last night, so he`ll follow eventually!
DeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteHa!
Once he canters, it'll be all he wants to do!
Good solution and worth it!
Where's the indoor?
KK
The indoor is a large sheep shed, for lambing in the spring. We use it the rest of the year!
DeleteOh how could you turn that down, that is too adorable :))
ReplyDeleteCute! Love to see kids on horses (and yay for the helmet)!
ReplyDeleteHe does love it! Wouldnt get off his pony last night!!
