Sorry have`nt blogged for a while, been busy, very busy trying to save mine, and others jobs! Looks like our jobs are to go, quicker than we think. So I will be a bit pre-occupied for a while. Trouble is, if my job goes, so do some of the horses. Thats a real issue with me, I made a sacred promise to my friends, and I will try and keep it, but things look pretty bad at the moment.
300 of us are to go, this Gov, is cutting for cutting`s sake, its a total mess here in the Uk.
Very sorry to hear that - sending best wishes and thought to you all.

They are cutting jobs at my work as well. I am safe at the moment but it is very scary. Godspeed to you. And your horses.

ReplyDeleteWelcome back!
ReplyDeleteHey, on my blog you mentioned you were thinking of the iPhone or another name that I wasn't familiar with. For Smartphones, I have the iPhone and a Blackberry. My Blackberry is my work phone and it really is geared more toward business communication ie email. It isn't an easy phone to take pictures with and I don't have many apps loaded.
I love love love my iPhone. By comparison to the Blackberry, it seems more recreational. I listen to music, podcasts from missed radio shows and use it as a camera probably moreso than my camera because I always have it with me. I like the size and the feel to it, too. I think Apple just makes nice products. I know many who use Droid technology and seem to like it. I've never tried it and didn't even do the compare when I got my iPhone. I knew it was what I wanted.
Good luck!
Thanks Tammy! I have been tending towards the Iphone.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that, Cheyenne. But you know what they say about when the going gets tough.
ReplyDeleteI certainly do Valance!
ReplyDeleteWe go on the dole!
Been lonely not seeing you around.
ReplyDeleteHey Cheyenne ...I had posted a long rambling comment but it is lost in cyber space. Probably good thing. SO here goes take two. Sorry to hear about the job front. Come to NZ.Plenty of space for horses. Way cheaper to keep them and as far as I know there are jobs. We dont appear to be as bad as Europe .....but at the end of the day ( yes I know its night!!) at least keep a couple of horses if you can. They simply are our pleasure and sanity. No horses would mean most of us would be nuts in may
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to read this, and yes, we have been reading the news (and seeing it on TV of the U.K.). I'll send prayers up for you tonight and daily and hope that you can land on your feet through all this.
ReplyDeleteI am really sorry to hear that your job is in jeopardy. I understand how you feel about the possibility of having to rehome some of your horses. That is one of my biggest fears.
ReplyDeleteThanks all! But!.....Since I last posted, there has been a small change, it looks like we will get the closure deferred until 2015! So, as far as the "troops" go, its a blessing one way, and a curse later.
ReplyDeleteI will know tomorrow. As one of the Union Representatives for the workers, I am pleased. Its been a long fight. But once again, thanks to you all for your kind comments.
That ain't quite what I meant, Pard, but it sure raised a smile.
