Odd Moment.

I fell off today!………..I am sorry to say, it was my own fault. It could not have been in a worse place too. Hard concrete!  All 15 stone of me, flat out on my back, looking for all the world like a beached whale!  The wind knocked completely out of my aching and somewhat tight chest. As I stared up at the passing grey clouds, it occurred to me that I should take more care!   make sure my feet are secure,  that my balance is good, and my hold is correct! Perhaps I should even wear a helmet?

I know I should!  But I do feel such a dork, I mean the only safety helmet I have is Rainbow coloured!   Anyway, as I continued to check my limbs for cracks and breakages, my wife appeared!

“ ladder slip then?”……………….”Yeah, those lights are in an awkward place!”

I say- why not? ;^) It's better than whacking the ol' noggin!

  7. I'm glad that you weren't seriously hurt! They are making helmets now that have a trail look (Troxel) and are manly enough for Brett even.

  16. Oddly, I'm more afraid of climbing a ladder, than riding a horse. Makes perfect sense to me!!! I do wear a helmet when riding, perhaps I will when changing lightbulbs now as well :)
