Sounds like a song title! But she has gone, Oh the pain! The anguish and sorrow! Oooh….Whats a chap to do? Bereft of his one and only love, well except for Gracie!
Yeah, Sunny went off to the trainers last night, and it was mortifying! I stood there feeling like a lost soul, while she sauntered off like I wasnt there! Horses and women, fickle!
On a final note, poor Gracie is lame again! On that injury. Vets been, just a matter of time now, so I dont have a horse to ride? Nothing, well except Jacob, the donkey!
Sunny probably thought you'd be there when she was unloaded. Hope all goes well with her training and Gracie heals up nicely for you.
ReplyDeleteDear Camryn, but I was there, it was a sad parting, as Shakespeare once put it, "Alas poor Sunny, I knew her, Gracie!"
DeleteI feel your pain, I hate being parted from any of mine.... nothing more fickle than a female horse (or mule)! Only one thing for it, time to train Jacob the donkey although in my experience they end up training you! :-)
ReplyDeletePoor Jacob! I`m afraid not, he`s a might too small for me. So I have no horse to ride. But when Sunny gets back.....!
DeleteParting is such sweet sorrow.... well maybe not so sweet. Especially when you are sans a horse to ride!
ReplyDeleteTrue, I could borrow a horse, but its not the same for some reason?
ReplyDeleteGosh Darn Sorry This Injury Is So Tough To Heal Up, Maybe Some Nerve Damage? Wonder If You Hand Walked Her On Solid Roads For A Week Or 2...
ReplyDeleteWithout A Steed Is A Terrible Thing. Don't Worry, It'll Not Last Too Much Longer. How Long Is Sunny Away?
She is away for 4 weeks. Not that long.
